Questions
- What are the disadvantages to connecting via the ‘people you may know section’?
- ANS = This method does not allow you to personalise the message which may lead to your account becoming restricted and many people do not like to receive invitations that way so you may find you get less acceptances.
- How do you send multiple messages to connections?
- ANS = You can send a LinkedIn message to 50 connections at a time, this can be done via the ‘Contacts’ area or by creating a message and adding more names into the ‘send to’ field. Alternatively you can download your connections and then send them all an email.
- What are ‘Followers’ on a personal profile?
- ANS = Followers can be two types of people;1) Connections
2) Someone who has been to the “recent activity” area and chosen to follow that person.
Generally you will find number 2 is very rare so the number of followers someone has is either exactly their number of connections or very close to.
